How Do I ???

HELP everyone! Missy has had a loose tooth for almost two months! Well, it's been at least a month and a half. A really long time. The girl is afraid to sit and play with it (this is her first loose tooth). To me, this is strange. I thought all kids go above and beyond to get some dough from the tooth fairy. Apparently not.

But, now I grow concern. The permanent tooth is starting to grow behind it! Ugh. I had her eat an apple last night. It's still there. I tried to twist it but my big mambo fingers don't fit well in her little mouth. I tried to take a string and just yank it out. That only hurt my ears as Missy screamed bloody murder.

What's a mom to do? I want this tooth out so she has a better chance of a permanent tooth growing in straight. Any ideas????

Let her know there is money coming when that tooth comes out, that should help. Every kid I know that hears the word m-o-n-e-y suddenly feels no pain.

You might have to see the dentist.

Hmm, we haven't dealt with any of this stuff yet. Let me know how it turns out.

Hi, Just visiting from
Annie's blog. I've got three myself and the previous comment about the money worked for me with two of my kids. Once I told them they'd get money by putting the tooth under the bed, they practically ran and got a pair of pliers!

Your pics of "Missy" a few posts down are great! She very cute and has "attitude."

I'm sure if you took her to the dentist, he could pull it out so she would have the room for the permanent one. If you told her that, she would probably try to pull it herself though.

Same story here. The dentist said the teeth would be in the wrong spot even if the baby teeth were out. Hope that makes you feel better, it did me. At least I don't feel like I'm alone in this tooth pulling fear thing.
